Slowly trying to adapt back to the British climate and this jacket is making life a little easier which is why I practically live in it. It has all the usual attributes of an average parka but the phrase "god is in the details" comes to mind when you look at the bejewelled pocket and gold tipped collar. But nothing is getting the British down, not even the weather, because the Olympics have officially started!! And it's not just Tom Daly's diving ability that has me glued to my screen... ;) Go team GB!

Home sweet home

One week. 5 books. Countless Diet Cokes and hours of sunshine= one very relaxed and tanned blogger! Menorca is a such a beautiful island, at one point I thought I was walking through the village in the Mama Mia movie (which my mother gleefully pointed out throughout the the entire duration there). Sitting at my dining room table staring out the window at the sun's futile attempts to break through the clouds, the memories of leopard print shorts, cropped t-shirts and bikinis have become the stuff of myths. Home sweet home! (*Note: heavily accented with sarcasm)

I am going to keep the writing short due to the sheer amount of photos, but I just couldn't help myself! These are just some of the pictures from the surprise tea party we organised for a friend, hope you enjoy them. Anyway, tomorrow I am jetting off on my holibobs to Menorca for a week to finally catch some sun! tea drinking dress up

This little outfit was for one of my best friend's 17th birthday, hosted at my humble abode by moi and the previously mentioned Aimee Cairns. Photos will follow very soon, this is the first time I have had internet all weekend so I have a back-log of posts I can't wait to share with you! We organised a candle lit tea-party, which if you knew Hannah at all you would know it just suits her personality down to a t- (ignore the completely unintentional pun). I seem to be the designated "planner" of the group, which I secretly love, but you should be warned that I can turn into scary army commander mode when things get stressful! Details will follow, stay tuned...

Another product of my shopping spree in Zara, which has fast become my all time favourite store! The studs on the t-shirt add the right amount of edge to this casual outfit and I bought it too big as usual, this is becming a habit of mine- I just hate tight tops. At least I can eat my trademark desserts in this without everyone seeing my food baby. I have to start thinking about packing my suitcase for holidays soon- terrifying. I always pack my whole wardrobe and then have nothing left to wear at home before I go except clothes two sizes too small lurking in the back of my wardrobe. Wish me luck!

Fabulous detail on my new Zara jacket, more photos will follow as I haven't taken this jacket off since I bought it!

 Lunch was eaten in this quirky gem of a restaurant introduced to me by my partner in crime, Aimee Cairns. We had fancy mushrooms on toast, slightly unorthodox but delicious all the same.

 I want all the rooms in my house decorated like this. Books are my one true love and to have my walls covered with them would be a dream come true.

 A slightly weak cup of afternoon tea, the milk jugs fault of course, it hypnotized me with it's pretty pattern so I couldn't stop pouring.

Who knew glass jelly moulds could make such great wall decorations? I feared one would fall off the wall and hit me on the head but they looked pretty good all the same!
